Valentine’s Day is one of the occassions where one should be inspired to “scrap” pictures of their loved ones.
Now, I don’t mean “scrap” as in abandoning or getting rid of them. It’s actually the opposite of that – it’s more about presenting their pictures as subjects in your scrapbooks or digiscraps. Since scrapbooking is about chronicling an event in your or your loved one’s life, and Valentine’s day is all about your loved ones (not just the romantic kind, mind you), shouldn’t the two things …
“Pasok na!!! Mahamog na!!!”
This was what my eldest brother and I heard after a long day of playing outside on our yard. My mother would be yelling on the top her lungs to let us know that dinner is ready and we better come inside or else sisipunin kami (or else we’ll get a cold). If that threat didn’t work, she’d tell us that the kapre would get us. Then I start thinking of the manananggal.. But that’s a different story.
These thoughts were in my head the other night because my husband and I were sharing …
A most unusual event…a snow storm hit central Virginia. Two days ago, it rained and snowed incessantly…everyone got snowed in…well, almost everyone.
I thought you were just kidding. The mere idea of braving very dangerous conditions like this made me think that there’s no way you could be serious about picking me up…not until two hours later…
You could have made it to NC for having traveled four hours back and forth. For a 20-yr old, braving a snow storm is called folly…but for a 39-yr old, you called it …

For its simple yet effective design – rotating blades, swiveling head, selectable speed – we thought the furthest innovation this appliance can go is the ice compartment.
It was definitely a surprise to see it still can do an evolutionary leap. In the shopping mall we …
I ask my five-month-old sometimes, “Do you know I’m your Mommy?”
He’s growing. I gaze at him when he’s asleep and marvel at how quickly time flies, how blessed we’ve been. After six years, this little present we’ve been waiting for has finally arrived, filling our home with much joy, bringing our family together.
He’s sociable. Too sociable most times. I find comfort that he’s beginning to develop stranger anxiety. No, really. He’s a boy with a cheerful disposition, but stranger danger can’t be learned early enough. Color me protective.
He’s beautiful. A …
